据阿塞拜疆新闻网10月22日消息称，BP公司将在位于里海阿塞拜疆地区北部Absheron地区的D230区块开展三维(3D)地震勘探，以收集远景构造的地球物理数据，并评估盆地内的油气远景构造。
BP阿塞拜疆石油公司副总裁Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli告诉AZERTAC，BP计划于11月开始对D230区块进行3D地震勘探。
Aslanbayli表示：“这项研究将由吉拉瓦地震船进行。根据结果，第一口探井的规划将在2020年开始。”
D230区块位于距阿塞拜疆海岸线约80公里的水域深处，水深介于100至800米之间，占地面积约3.222平方千米。
