据能源新闻12月20日消息称，印度国家石油天然气公司（ONGC）周日开始从孟加拉盆地的一口井中抽油，标志着该公司在印度开启了第八个油气生产盆地。该公司在一份声明中表示，位于帕尔加纳24区的Asokenagar-1井开始生产石油。
它说：“根据印度政府颁布的早期盈利计划，Asokenagar-1井已作为石油生产井完成。”ONGC发现并投产了印度8个含油气盆地中的7个，覆盖了已探明油气储量的83%。
ONGC是印度最大的油气生产商，占该国油气产量的72%。

State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) "The well Asokenagar-1 was completed as an oil producer under an early-monetisation plan issued by the Government of India," it said.
