作为俄罗斯最大的独立能源公司，该公司首席执行官列昂尼德·米克尔森(Leonid Mikhelson)透露了北极LNG 2项目的建设进展情况。他表示，该项目的第一条生产线已完成53%，计划在两年内开始运营。
位于Gydan半岛的北极LNG 2项目工厂是诺瓦泰克在北极地区的第二家工厂。该项目包括建设3条液化天然气生产线，总生产能力为1980万吨/年。截至2020年底，该项目已完成约三分之一的工程建设，其首条生产线也已完成约46%。
