据海上石油新闻网9月28日意大利米兰圣多纳托报道，意大利石油巨头埃尼公司旗下的油田服务子公司萨伊博姆(Saipem)日前与芬兰海浪能技术开发商Wello OY公司就后者的WEC Penguin 波浪能技术签署了一份谅解备忘录。
这个技术是为了让浮动的船体通过一个直接连接到发电机上的旋转器将海浪的运动转变为能量。
萨伊博姆将在恶劣环境的海上项目中以及造船工程中应用这个技术来优化安装程序和技术的可操作性。
此外，萨伊博姆还将调查这个技术在石油和天然气工业中的应用，包括海上平台，以提高其能源效率和减少对环境的影响。

Saipem to assess wave energy system for platforms
Saipem has signed a memorandum of understanding with Finnish company Wello OY Saipem will apply its experience in harsh environment offshore projects and in naval engineering to optimize the installation procedure and operability of the technology.
In addition, it will investigate applications to the oil and gas industry, including offshore platforms, to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their environmental impact.
This is designed to allow a floating hull to transform the motion of ocean waves into energy through a rotator directly connected to a generator.
